In search of a better life, Cha Eun Sang travels to America to be with, and deliver some money to, her sister who is supposed to get married. To her dismay, she finds that her sister is actually waiting tables and living a life that is completely opposite of what Eun Sang had imagined.
Disheartened, a misunderstanding causes her to become friends with Kim Tan who offers to shelter her. Unbeknownst to her, he is a chaebol, complete with nice cars, a massive mansion and good looks to top it off! Slowly but surely, he starts to fall for her.
One day Rachel Yoo, Kim Tan’s fiance, shows up at Kim Tan’s doorstep to bring him home and demands that Eun Sang move out. Although engaged, it is a one-sided love on Rachel’s part as Kim Tan has no feelings for her at all. Eun Sang soon after moves out and returns back to Seoul. Kim Tan is lead by Rachel and follows suit, returning home to his mansion.
Upon his return, he is shocked to find out that Eun Sang is the daughter of his mansion’s housekeeper. Things become more complicated when Rachel’s step-brother Choi Young Do also falls for Eun Sang. He, like his step-sister, is a chaebol in his own right with a high IQ. Not only that, Yoon Chan Young who is Eun Sang’s best friend starts to date Kim Tan’s ex-girlfriend whom he never loved and thus, never showed any warmth to. Chan Young’s presence soothes Lee Bo Na’s heart that was hurt and broken by Kim Tan.
Another love triangle is formed between Lee Hyo Shin, a student and his teacher Jeon Hyun Joo and Kim Won, Kim Tan’s cold-hearted older step-brother.
